What is the difference between a liner needle and a shader?
The difference is in the configuration in which the needles are joined. For example, in a 3-point liner needle, the needles have been welded very close together to ensure a clear line/trace; in a 3-point shader needle, the needles have been welded far apart, which will allow us to leave a less clear trace, a blend. For 1-point needles, choose pure needles for lines and 1-point needles of the size chosen for the desired blending and techniques; the flexibility and smoothness of the needles play an important role in blending techniques.
